Back to School
Today is my first day back to school. I’m the most excited and optimistic I’ve been, restarting my adventure in CS academia. I’m hoping to take things all the way to getting my Master’s, as I would really like to teach and understand enough low-level code to start contributing to RISC V in the future.
I’m starting out with 6 classes for my first semester, spread out in 3 for the first term and 3 for the second. That seems like a lot, but one is being audited and a few cover material I’m well versed in, so I’m not too afraid of getting bogged down in my schedule. I’ll probably have a lighter next few semesters, although the course work is going to get more involved for me.
I’ll be leaving for campus later today, where I plan to work on my game and web servers before my first class of the year. That first class is databases, where I’ll be working in Access. Since I’ve already got a bunch of SQL and MySQL experience, I’m thinking this class shouldn’t be too difficult.
It’s happening! Degrees and studiousness abound!
